This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. It covers two different groups of people, because ResidentCue handles data about both:

Who controls the data

For manager account data, we are the data controller. For resident contact details, the property manager decides who is on their list and what is sent — they are the controller, and we act as a processor on their behalf. A manager is responsible for having a lawful basis to send reminders to the residents they add.

Data we collect

Why we process it

To deliver the reminders a manager schedules, to operate and secure the service, to bill for it, and to honour opt-outs. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use resident contact details for our own marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers needed to run the service: our SMS provider, our email provider, our hosting provider, and our payment provider. Sending an SMS or email necessarily discloses the recipient's number or address to the provider that delivers it.

How long we keep it

Account and resident records are kept while the account is active. Opt-out records are kept even after a resident is removed — that is what stops a resident who unsubscribed from being messaged again if they are re-added.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. Managers can export their data from the account page at any time. Residents who want their details removed can contact their property manager, or contact us at support@residentcue.co and we will pass the request on and act on it.

Every text message includes an opt-out link and every email an unsubscribe link. Opting out takes effect immediately and a manager cannot reverse it.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Where data is held

ResidentCue serves the United Kingdom. Some of our suppliers operate outside the UK, in which case transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place.
